Good condition original WWII German 98k Mauser bayonet that is a rare commercial example with Alcoso manufacturer markings on the left side blade ricasso. Blade has original blue metal finish showing some wear and has been sharpened. Remaining metal finish is mixed blue, brown, and gray with a little pitting. Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit with some normal handling marks, lock button works but is a little stiff. Fitted in original steel scabbard that is marked "S/174" for production by WKC and dated 1936. Scabbard has original blue metal finish showing some wear and a little pitting, no dents. Missing the scabbard throat screw. Also complete with correct original leather frog that is soft and supple with some wear, stitching and rivets are nice and tight. Complete with handle straps, but missing the stud. A very scarce 98k commercial bayonet that will make a great addition to your collection.
