Up for bid, with no reserve, is a WWII GERMAN EICKHORN ORIGINAL SWORD. This was found in my father's estate. He was a history teacher and collector of coins, medals and militaria. This sword is a beauty! Has leather hanger and portapee. Blade measures 32 and 1/2 inches long and is maker marked: EICKHORN with Squirel (blade looks really good). The bottom of the guard is stamped GES. GESCH. Hand grip has original triple wires and only a slight crack to the black at top underneath (see photo- does not detract from appearance and I didn't even notice it until photographing from all angles). Scabbard is free of dents and dings and has only minor areas of missing paint. You will not be disappointed.
