WORLD WAR II GERMAN MILITARY FIELD PHONE we have a very nice and clean WWII German Military Field Phone. Works! Just put your finger on the connector and turn the crank and you will find out FAST how it really works well!! :))The lid shows the cypher - A=Anton, B=Bertha, Z=Zeppelin. T are wires in the battery box, (no battery). This is a fine piece of historical WWII history! Cloth type cord on the handset. This unit even has the year and serial # stamped in it. Year- 1944 E and Serial #157215. If you are interested in how I came to have this phone, is the story: Around 15 years ago, my father bought a river camp in French Settlement, Louisiana. We would go t on the weekends (the cajun bayou) and water ski with the boat, fish, drink beer and just have a good time. One day we were looking up at the small hole with a cover going into the attic and decided to go up to check it out. When I got up t, t was this box sitting t in the middle of the attic and nothing else. We brought it down and were stunned to open and find out what it was! My dad let me keep it and I've had it ever since. I've shown many people this thing and everyone was amazed at the history contained in this box.
