This is a WWII German officers sword that was brought back by my dad from Obersdorf, Germany at wars end. It has the owners initials etched on the guard, SS. The sword is 35 1/2" long, the blade is 30 3/4" long, the scabbard is 32" long. The blade still retains all of the plating and has a blood groove on both sides 3/4 the way down the blade. The blade has not been sharpened. The tang is marked, E. Pack and Sohne and trademark of Thor with hammer figure, Solingen. It has a P guard and backstrap which is plated, a black grooved handle with triple twist brass wire intact. The scabbard is black enamel with a single carry ring and drag, has a few carry marks but no dents. Throat and drag have numbers of 542 on both. Shipping is $10.00 USPS. I take Paypal. I accept other forms of payment, email to ask. Email any questions on this item and thanks for looking. I listed this sword with no reserve and it will sell.
