A Post-War German Youth Knife, and scabbard (exactly like the WWII Youth Knife, I did a side-by-side comparison with an original and the knife is identical in size and construction- not just close- identical ). The scabbard appears very similar, but is not steel, and the internal runners are different. Like new, a very clean piece. T is a small amount of paint loss to the front of the scabbard (visible in photo) easily touched up. The blade has the tiniest of tarnishing on one side (again, easily cleaned up) and the plating on the handle has no oxidation at all. The triangle emblem is a Fleur-de-Lis. The ricasso is stamped: EDGE BRAND SOLINGEN GERMANY and the other side: 420. The leather on the scabbard is stamped: Made in Germany. T is a blank between the words in and Germany, implying that the word "West" was removed from the die (meaning this piece was made shortly after the re-unification or 1990).
