This listing represents a first for me. Here you have a World War II GI Officer’s Sterling Locket with applied Army Officer’s Gold Washed Eagle. The apparently sterling silver locket is ornate. It is not marked, and is in about near mint condition. The GI Officer’s Sweetheart Locket is exquisitely crafted. The Officer’s Great Seal of the United States Eagle is applied to the center. The locket is oval. The front has an engraved floral design. When opening the locket, the left section also has a floral design. The locket opens up easily. The hinge works nicely, and the locket closes easily, also. There are two sections on either side of the locket for pictures, ostensibly sweethearts. The locket has a loop so it can be hung from a necklace or neck chain. The locket is not marked; however, it most likely is made of sterling. The locket measures .875 by 1.125 inches. It opens to .875 by 1.5 inches. The locket is just what you need to complete your WWII GI or Sweetheart Jewelry Presentations. It would look terrific worn or in a shadow box display. It is also appropriate for wear on our Home Front in our current two-front war. The buyer can choose First Class Postage with a Padded Bag and tracking slip. This WWII GI Officer’s Sweetheart Locket with applied Officer’s Eagle insignia in about near mint condition would make a wonderful addition, read more
