This is a Japanese WWII Army Katana Samurai sword. In very good condition. Machine made in the city of Seki. Signed by master Kanechica. The blade does not have any nicks or rust spots. The hamon consists of a wavy pattern. Part of the Seki stamp is visible in the tang. One side bears the signature of the maker. The Habaki has a nice rain pattern. The fittings are all WWII. The scabbard is covered in brown leather. The locking strap is present and complete with the metal snaps. A 1 inch tear is present in the leather of this area. A brown tassel is attached to the lanyard loop. This is a very nice example of a WWII era sword.
