WWII Japanese Imperial Army Cartographers map making set captured in New Guinea in 1945 by Colonel Travis Gray Wright and so inscribed on the inner wood lid. This set is ivory and nickel silver in a blue silk padded case with an outer wooden traveling case, with precision calipers, scales, dividers, protractors, compasses, even pencil leads in a screw top keeper. Wheels and perforators for generating lines, graphs, charts and tables. A rarely encountered headquarters area war trophy captured by a named US Army Officer.
