An unusual helmet from the late WWII/Korean War period. This is an original M-1 helmet with what is refered to as a rigger modified liner. The chin strap is the late war four hole variety. All is original, and all appear to have been togeather for a long time. The liner is missing the nape strap and the band. This makes an interesting display. It was not unheard of for airborne troops to use the M1 Pot with a M1C liner. Good Luck! I have added the last few photos for clarity.
