This is a WWII AAF Quick Attachable Parachute harness (QAC), designed for the red group AN6513-1A parachute. QAC's were by personnel that required a greater amount of freedom while moving in the aircraft - the crewman only needed to wear the harness and later the bulky chest pack could be quickly clipped on if bailing out was necessary. This is an extremely high quality reproduction made exactly like the originals. The webbing is the correct specification Type VIII and the hardware is original NOS (new old stock) and has markings from the Aerial Machine and Tool company, which was one of the largest manufacturers of hardware during the war. The hooks are the larger WWII model not the cheap postwar mil-spec ones that many other repros use. The harness is complete with rigger tackings at the chest strap and back strap retaining strap. The pattern and fit are exactly the same as the original and have not been altered to fit a larger modern figure - it's the real deal. The original back pad shown is not with the harness but originals are plentiful on ebay. The harness does not have the red painted chest strap because the T.O. ordering this was not issued until early 1944 and the majority of harness weren't marked until late war. This can be authentically applied if requested for no extra charge.International Bids Welcome!Feel free to
