***WWII RAF Aircraft Mk.IIB Cockpit clock 6A/1072 Air ministry*** For auction is this: WWII War Ministry Aircraft Cockpit Clock 8 Day RAF As used in SPITFIRE LANCASTER This clock has a black Bakelite case with a screw-on bezel and is wound by turning the knobon the case at the 4'o'clock position. The hands are adjusted by pressing and turning the knob simultaneously. The dial is marked with numerals and luminous hands (Luminous paint is still active). It is a MK IIB which was made in 1944 and has an 8 day movement. On the dial is written "8 Day MK IIB" and a ref number of 6A/1072 and a serial number of 2395/44. The back of the case bears the kings crown and the initials "A.M" (Air Ministry). Appears to be fitted with nickel plated movement. Overall diameter of the clock (Not including the winding stem) : 64mm The winding knob does not work, may be something simple but sold as not working Please view pictures.
