Hello, Please see my other listings and check back now and then because I’m pulling many items out of my personal military collection to sell over the next few weeks. Description: This is an excellent piece of Civil Defense history! Un-used and mint condition WWII U.S. Navy sun / Pith Helmet painted for Civil Defense use. As you can see in the pictures, this is a NOS USN Green Pith helmet that never even had the adjustable headband tied together and the original instruction tag and tie string are still attached!! On the back of the tag written in pencil is “Barbara Linnemans” and inside the helmet hand painted in silver paint is the #154 and R.L. So I’m thinking Barbara Linnemans was probably the wife to R.L.? just a thought anyway. The Blue and white paint job applied to this pith helmet is first class and was done with great detail. Except for the minor cracking in the CD decal on the front it is all in super condition and displays very nice! You won’t find another one of these in this condition and great detail, so bid to win!! Thanks Please ask any questions and I will try and get back to you as soon as I can. International Bidders – I am willing to ship to “Some” international destinations, but other conditions apply for overseas bidders, so please e-mail me and ask first. Thank you. This is a great item so bid to win!!! read more
