WWII US Raincoat Original Dated 1942 Very Pliable: This 100% original raincoat was worn by many members of the US Armed Forces during WWII, including Infantry and 82nd and 101st Airborne troops. This style was worn during the European campaigns of Normandy, D Day, Holland, and on into Germany. The European Theater was notoriously cold and damp. Overall, this coat is in very good condition. It has seen some wear, and has some overall staining. However, it is still remarkably pliable and has no cracking. Sized small, measurements are43.75 inches Back length, 31.25 inches Sleeve length from the collar attachment, approximately 18 inches Shoulder to shoulder, and an approximate Waist of 42 with the coat buttoned, measured from the top of the pocket. The tag bears a 1943 date and states that this coat is synthetic resin coated, OD dismounted. It was manufactured by A.B. Zuckert Co. A difficult piece to find in this condition, and an important addition to any collection. Bid today!
