I bought this when I was quite young while scouring local antique stores for WWII treasure. This is an awesome item. It is a mint condition pilot officer's ring in 10k gold made by the famous maker Jostens. This ring looks like it was never really worn. T is no wear to the gold detailing. The red stone is smooth on top and faceted on the under side. Sorry the pics are blurry. This thing was hard to photograph and not get the glare. The details are crisp and clear. I guarantee your COMPLETE satisfaction with this item or I will gladly take it back and issue a complete refund including shipping. This ring would be impossible to upgrade. Ring is nicely engraved on the inside "M R" or "M K Ernest From Ed" Also marked "JOSTEN10K" Around stone it says, "PILOT OFFICER USAAF." Down one side are pilots wings, a radial engine with three bladed prop, USA banner and three chevrons. The other side has an eagle clutching a bar, 3 quarter view of an airplane, and three chevrons. Beautiful gold with tint in the recesses of the detailing. This ring is awesome. This item will thrill the USAAF collector. 7/8" x 1" and heavy. This is a very large and impressive ring of very fine quality. Email questions and bid with total confidence. The 10K rings Jostens still makes for colleges etc run 4-600.
