This Eagle Globe & Anchor pin states United States Marine Corps on the banner beneath the Eagle Globe and Anchor. A snake is seen above the eagles' head and the tail caught in its mouth. The pin is 10K gold as seen by the markings on its back and has a screw back fitting meant for a collar or lapel hole. The USMC Officer whose effects this EGA came from was in service from 1938 to 1968 so this could have been bought later than WWII, but more likely during the period when he was rapidly promoted from 1941 to 1945.
