This auction is for a nice Tan WWII US Marine Corps Fiber Helmet. These were worn by the Marines throughout the war. This is a original WWII helmet and not one of the many post war helmets. This helmet is well marked inside, "INTERNATIONAL HAT CO NOm - 38964 JAN. 18, 1943". The Marines name is also stamped twice under thr brim, LEONARD F. CINER. Looks like the last owner marked out another Marine's name. Has the WWII EGA on the front. The hat is in very good shape. The shell is in great shape and has NO crushed, bend or brittle areas. The material does show several marks on it, but nothing that detracts from its original look. T is no tears in the material either. The cloth chin strap is in good condition and the leather head band is excellent, showing NO cracking. This helmet has been worn and shows it use, but overall it is in great condition and far better than most original fiber helmets I have come accross. Thanks for looking.
