WWII USN Mark 1 Fighting Knife RH PAL 35 + MK 1 Scabbard - United States Navy

This knife was given to me by my late uncle, who was in the United States Navy. I am not sure if it was issued to him by the Navy when he was serving in WWII or if it was something he had gotten after he retired from the Navy. Obviously it was sharpened a few times, as you can see in the photos. I am not familiar with the specs and/or details on this knife so I don't know exactly what all of the numbers or words on it mean other than the obvious "U.S.N." at the base of the blade & top of the sheath, which stands for United States Navy. The photos I've posted should be clear enough to read all of the writing, but in case you still can't make it out here's what is on the knife and the sheath: On the base of the blade, on one side it reads "U.S.N." and below that is "MARK I" On the base of the blade on the other side it reads "RH" and a circle with "PAL" inside the circle with "Made In USA" under it, and then "35" On the sheath just below where the blade gets inserted, on one side it reads "U.S.N." and below that is "MK I" On the sheath just below where the blade gets inserted, on the other side it reads "NORD - 4723" and below that is "B.M.
