WWII (WW2) Soviet (Russian) Red Army Rifles or Justice officer's visor cap. This auction is for a good quality original Red Army Justice Colonel's visor cap but could equally be a Red Army Rifles (Infantry) officer's visor cap, both branches having rasberry piping and a raspberry cap band. In fact the cap came from a rare Justice Colonel's uniform set that was produced in 1945. Unfortunately the woollen uniform suffered serious moth damage and so the cap, stored separately in a moth proof tin, is being sold separately along with a matching pilotka also piped in the raspberry for Riles officers. While eniviatably on a hat some 70 years old there are some signs of age and wear the hat is in over all excellent condition. There is some slight hairline cracking to the chinstrap and very slight soiling otherwise the cap is in fine condition (please see all the photos). The interior of the cap is marked by both production stamps and by Russian script that I assume to be by the original owner. The pilotka is also in excellent condition and apart one slight moth nip at the top rear (see photos) is just about perfect. It is stamped inside with the manufacturers mark. The1945 cap and pilotka (earlier) would have been worn by men and women of the Red Army Rifles or Justice branches. Both are a medium size (Approximately a size 57 read more
