3 Wonderful Matching Crown Ducal Platters, produced by A.G. Richardson & Co., in their highly acclaimed Orange Tree series. The delightful Orange Tree series was designed by Norman Keates in 1925. The exquisite unique decoration to the border of the platters features beautiful oranges against the black foliage of the orange trees of the title, with the distant Spanish?? hills in the background, with black trim to the scalloped platter rims. The platters are in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There is crazing to the 15" platter, which appears to enhance, rather than detract from the appearance of the large platter; and is commensurate with the great age of the piece. Backstamp on the large platter reads " Crown Ducal / Made in England / A1211 / Rd.No.7112701", with variations on the other two platters The platters measure 15"/38cms long by 12"/30.5cms wide; 13"/33.5cms long by 10"/26cms wide, and 11"/28cms long by 8.75"/22cms wide.
