a 4" by 4" original oil painting from my latest series called "small stories". i wanted the viewer to be able to bring their own narrative to the scene they've stumbled into, prompted ever so slightly by the piece's title. the series was inspired by the recent loss of my ma. ultimately, i see the paintings as a celebration of the complicated, beautiful, inexplicable, and unforgettable relationships between women, whether sisters, friends, mothers and daughters, lovers and even strangers. the painting is on a wrap around canvas and has finished sides. feel free to ask me any questions you may have. thank you for your interest. m. rolin-fox
