This is an extremely rare ca 1900's miniature metal replica of the Statue of Liberty complete with working torch lamp and battery box. It is a much larger sister to the two pieces in THE BOOK, standing 15" tall on a 5.5" by 4.5" base. It is in exceptional condition with no breaks or dings or dents. The battery electrics in the box and wiring up to the torch are replaced and working with the original flip switch on the side of the box. Works on a single AA battery. I have shown pictures of this piece to some of the most avid collectors of Statue of Liberty souvenirs in the country and the consensus is that they have seen just one of these before--- in the museum area at the Statue of Liberty. The smaller pieces like those in MM do show up from time to time but I have never seen this tall piece offered before for sale anyw It is a striking lead cast figure, superbly detailed and literally glowing with charm.
