This was never used in the 1952 Rose Bowl, but my guess is it was issued to Don or a family member to celebrate the Illini's 40-7 victory over Stanford in a reunion or an on-field ceremony. Engels was the backup QB and actually threw a touchdown pass in this game. This jersey is brand new without tags and I don't see any defects. It would be great for any jersey collector or Illini fan! Please check the measurements as sizes differ by brand and age. Please let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer them.
