This is an outstanding find of a high quality, working, musical vanity clock that was made in "Germany" about 60 years ago. The case is made entirely of bakelite or similar materials and was fashioned to look very much like an old table radio like those in the late 1940's and early 1950's. This is a beautiful clock that has brasstone metal fixtures in front and a sturdy brasstone metal back as well. The dial has a glass crystal inset over the it; no cracks or chips that I can see. The dial itself is white and features goldtone numerals at each hour mark and metal luminous hands to point out the time. Both winding keys for the clock and music are intact on the back as well as both time setting knobs. T is a slow/fast adjustment on the back too in case the clock timing ever needs to be regulated. The clock is fitted with a mechanical movement that lasts for about two days on a single wind. T is a brasstone metal knob in front that sets or disables the alarm feature. And the alarm is amazing! Instead of a noisy buzzer or bell, this clock awakens you to a heavenly rendition of "O Mein Papa," one of my favorite tunes! T is an intact factory label underneath the case that identifies the song title. I've looked the clock over fairly well and can't find any issues; it's in great shape! The clock is very impressive and the perfect size too read more
