Sadly, my beautiful midi-equipped Yamaha Electric Grand is for sale due to space problems (not enough!). I have owned her for 20 years. She has never been gigged and has only been moved twice in 20 years on each occasion when I moved house. She is in wonderful condition with no damage or scuff marks. With the lid closed she is quiet enough for practice in a house with people sleeping. With the lid open she is perfect for a family sing-around. Connected to a small combo amp she becomes something else. The 7-band eq enables you to change her sound to anything from a classical piano through to rock (Keane - if you like that sort of thing - they have one). The installed tremolo Speed and Depth controls give you a Rhodes/Wurlitzer sound. Connecting a midi lead to your other keyboard or expander enables you to layer strings or brass or wobbleboard or whatever on top of the beautiful bright CP-70 piano sound if you want. She is being replaced by a nice but soulless Roland FP-3 :-(. If you are not familiar with the Yamaha CP Grand pianos, they are effectively a proper acoustic metal-framed overstrung Yamaha boudoir grand piano which can be split into two halves, one containing the hammer section, keys and legs, the other containing the harp section, for transportation.
