Yamaha electronic drum set for sale. This vintage electronic drum set is from the 1980's and has been carefully stored in the original boxes for the last 15 years. I am the original owner and the only person that has ever played them. The pads were set up in my recording studio and were never used on the road. The kit includes (3) PTT8 pads, (1) PSD8 pad used for the snare(it has two outputs. One can be set for rim shots for instance) and (1) PBD8 bass drum pad. The pads show very little wear, just the normal wear on the pad playing surface itself. (see photo). Functionally the pads all trigger just fine. Two of the pads do have a problem, although it is probably easily repaired. The internal trigger is separating from the pad surface. My guess is that over the years the adhesive holding the surfaces together has worn out. I have not taken them apart but my feeling is that new adhesive can be applied or heavy duty adhesive double face tape, such as ones made by 3M can be used to repair them. I only noticed it on two but I would suspect it could occur on others. The pads still trigger fine however. The PTX8 tone generator unit is in excellent condition and shows almost no sign of wear.
