Yamaha Pacifica 112. OK you probably know the score - very versatile HSS pickup combo, strat style, solid alder body, maple neck/rosewood fingerboard, very easy to play , Yamaha quality and reliability etc etc. This example; Light use, mainly at home, though I have had it for some years - finally upgrading. Mods; bridge is fixed - much better sustain and tuning stability. Better for a beginner/ guy who doesn't want a trem/ country riffs with string bending. Can easily be reverted. String trees have been added. Pickup link toggle - a popular mod for strats and standard on many strat type guitars (i.e. G&L). When activated, it gives you pups 1&3 in position 1&5, all pups in positions 2&4 pup 3 in position 3, so two extra tones. Upgraded pickup(s) – the humbucker is a ‘Mighty Might’, the single coils are more generic though I do think they have a higher output than the originals and match the colour of the MM, giving this 112 a more individual look. (This guitar lived with some class pickups for a while, and I had lost the originals to replace). I removed the Yamaha logo on the headstock – (don't like logo's!) You can faintly see a trace showing this is the original neck! Body - minor dents etc, buckle rash (lent it out for one number!), general 'character' - nothing standing a few feet away won't fix, looks loved rather than read more
