For Sale: Yamaha SB75 Bass Guitar.This very rare bass was Yamaha's competition to the Precisions and Jazz basses of the era. It was the top of the Yamaha range selling in 1973 for 80,000 yen (£608) an incredible cost in the 70's ,similar price of U.S. Fender basses of the time. The body is mahogany,the neck rock maple with ebony fingerboard ,mother of pearl inlays.(Similar size of Jazz bass). Scale 860mm,weight: 5 kg Manufactured between 1973-1975(Nippon Gakki Company). The bass had a neck brake(see photos) some 30 years ago and was professionally repaired. It is "rock solid" never any problems since repair and is completely smooth finished(no ridge whatsoever). It has a lovely low action,neck arrow straight,tuners functioning as new and electrics all working well.The bass is built like a tank and pretty heavy. The sale includes the original hardcase which unlike the guitar is in terrible condition(lol) & covered in stickers but it does close and lock (no key) and will protect bass during postage. So,here is a rare, unusual and collectable bass which still performs well. Great Christmas present for player or collector. Viewing is very welcome as is pick up.
