Offered for sale here is my 4/4 Yamaha SV120 Silent Violin. I bought it for practising while working away from home so as not to outrage my itinerant colleagues. Now I stay closer to home and am somewhat more accomplished, my wife can almost stand to listen to my acoustic fingerings. The instrument works perfectly and the body and furniture are pretty much in perfect condition. The finish is a very nice metallic cherry red and the finger board, head and pegs are of course ebony. It is strung with some perfectly serviceable medium-weight Thomastik Dominant strings. All the other bits are there, user manual. Kun shoulder rest, bridge and the original 3.5mm jack headphones - although you might understandably prefer your own 'phones :-). Rather extravagantly I bought the matching Yamaha gig back and this is included in the sale. Also included is a reasonable bow from "The Bow Shop", carbon-fibre strung with horsehair. Just add 2 "AA" batteries, a block of rosin and a real intention to learn this difficult but rewarding instrument!
