Here, for your collecting pleasure is YARD-O-LED's, 1995 Limited Edition (of only 1000 pens), "IMPERIAL DRAGON", pen #327. This early, beautifully-balanced pen, it's slender and striking barrel and cap of solid STERLING SILVER, are decorated with the engraving of a Dragon, coiled around its exterior. Beneath the flare of the top is printed "MADE IN ENGLAND". Yard-O-Led is England's premier Sterling Silver fountain pen manufacturer. The sturdy clip, of vintage design, is stamped "#327" & "YARD-O-LED". On both barrel & cap we find maker's hallmarks and "925" (.925/1000) Sterling Silver purity. The nib is marked "M", as well as "Yard-O-Led" - 18K - .750.The rear section of the nib assembly is an unusual, solid Sterling Silver on this "special order" pen, as the standard was a black resin. This pen is of the very popular C/C (cartridge / converter) type. Information from our consignor was that this pen was a retirement gift for a former Anheuser Busch executive. It is absolutely as new, never inked. It comes in a Yard-O-Led wooden gift box with leather carrying case in marked cardboard over-box.High bidder to pay for shipping.
