Lemon Tree ThundereggThe polished half measures 3 3/8" by 2 5/8" by 1 1/8" and weighs 6 oz.This flawless, exquisite specimen has a flowing core agate in translucent blue-gray, black, red, and orange. The depth gives this piece a galactic, deep-space effect. T are three enclosed quartz pockets, which can be seen to dive down into the depths of the core agate. The matrix is a mottled tan and light brown. T are no fractures in this outstanding specimen.Lemon Tree is a small egg bed located on the Mill Creek drainage of the Ochoco Mountains of Central Oregon. The material is typically hens-egg size with a solid, non-grainy matrix of a greenish-gray or green color. The cores may be of a non-specific flowing type or they may be a tri-canoid, and will almost always be composed of agate. Some will fluoresce. Many will exhibit an intense mustard yellow inclusion against the matrix wall which shows up well through the semi-transparent agate core.
