Near-Complete 5 Year Run of Muscle Media + Extras! 32 issues + Body for Life + Sports Supplement Review + 2 Training TPBs ============ Overview You’re bidding on a near-complete five-year run of Bill Philips’ bi-monthly cult-favorite Muscle Media (later “Muscle Media 2000”) magazine. Muscle Media was famous for promoting the Bill Philips bodybuilding method that, bucking the modern trend, was aimed at helping average men and women attain the highest level of fitness possible for them, rather than attempting to become freakishly huge at any cost. I also include the $30 MM Sports Supplement Review, a copy of “Body for Life” (Bill Philips’ NY Times #1 best-selling hardcover), a Bill Philips EAS ephedrine report, and two oversized “high-intensity workout” trade paperbacks. Random issues of Muscle Media are common on eBay, but it’s difficult to find a complete run like this (even without the extras) that spans the magazine’s peak years. Contents - Muscle Media 64 (12/1997), 67-81, 84-99, 101-102, 104-110 (6/2003) . 32-issue run missing only 4 issues from the magazine’s peak years (4/98-6/03). - Muscle Media Sports Supplement Review 3d Edition (1997)) . Bill Philips’ comprehensive 350+ page analysis of sports supplements, training, & nutrition - Body for Life . The bestselling book that made Bill Philips into a talkshow celebrity. Concisely summarizes the “Muscle Media” workout/nutrition approach to “mental and physical strength”, including a detailed 12-week training program. Book is in very good shape, with original dust jacket & overwrap photo band. First Printing. - High-Intensity Bodybuilding ; Beef It! – Upping the Muscle Mass with Shock-Training Strategies Two oversized, profusely illustrated, hardcore training books by Nautilus evangelist Ellington Darden and MuscleMag editor Robert Kennedy. A nice companion to the Muscle Media program for those who want to complement Philips’ approach with higher-intensity exercises. - Special Report: The Evolution of Ephedrine . A detailed analysis of the controversial sports supplement published by Bill Philips’ EAS company. 2000. Condition The magazines are in very good condition. Most are like new except for occasional minor cover wear & ballpoint pen notes on a small number of covers (see close-ups for examples). The books have obviously been read (some cover wear on High-Intensity Bodybuilding), but are otherwise in excellent shape with clean, crisp interiors. The Special Report is in very good shape, except that it’s creased where it was folded in half for mailing. Shipping OK, here’s the bad news. These are oversized books & magazines with heavy-stock covers printed on high-quality glossy paper. So they weigh a lot – like 42 pounds in a 12x12x12 box. Because the magazines contain advertising, the don’t qualify for Media Mail postage rates, so the cheapest way to legally ship them would be Parcel Post. I’ll charge you only the actual postage (& insurance if you want it) costs, but if you don’t live close to Upstate New York, be aware that shipping might be very expensive.
