Medium limb casts commonly known as "yellowcat redwood". These beautiful specimens come from my mine near the yellow cat area in grand county,utah. A mirror polish and detailed preparation of the external wood structure make these a great addition to any mineral collection. A+++! - Finest detail in face with minimal fractures in corners - no repair to rind -great wood features with growth rings in face - very nice stretched window - dimensions: 4.7 x 3 x 4 centimeters,(1.88 x 1.2 x 1.6 inches). This piece is an outstanding example of fortification and petrification combined! Combined shipping offered for multiple purchases Following are specifics for this material: Jurassic period; Collected in the Brushy Basin member of the Morrison Formation; Cast replacement of conifers with little to no internal structure; Carnelian agate dominates, but can also include clear quartz-barite-calcite-aragonite-groutite and other trace minerals.
