This 9 inch yellow ware bowl is part of a nested set. There are 5 brown slip bands around the body, as well as embossed flowers at the top and vertical ribbing around the bottom. This bowl is pictured on page 118 of Lisa McAllister's Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware Book III. Measures 9 inches across in diameter, and is 4 1/2 inches high. Exceptional condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. It has all-over age crazing, 3 stilt/stack marks on the bottom and on the inside, is slightly darkened on the inside, and a couple of very tiny clay separations inside that occurred during production. The embossed flower decoration on this bowl is crisp and well defined. Reference my pictures. Unmarked as to the maker. Sweet yellow ware bowl that is rather hard to find in this pattern.
