For sale a drypoint etching signed by Yngve Edward Soderberg titled "DOWN SOUTH" --home with African- American man, woman, and child. What I assume to be the title, "DOWN SOUTH", is written on the lower left corner of the presentation mat. The print shows a Southern scene with a man sitting on the porch, a woman probably doing a wash, and a young child standing nearby. There is moss hanging from the palms or palmettos. It has in pencil lower left " ED. 85" and lower right "Yngve Edward Soderberg". The image is about 8" x 9" and the sheet is 11.5" x 16". The print has never been framed and is in excellent condition--it is attached to the backing with tape at the upper two corners. The color of the printing paper is a light cream--not the white shown in my photos.
