RARE YOSEMITE VALLEY RAILROAD TICKET ROUND TRIP MERCED - EL PORTAL MINT AND UNUSED - NO RESERVE Excellent condition very rare vintage U.S. railroad memorabilia. The Yosemite Valley Railroad ran from Merced in California's San Joaquin Valley to El Portal, the gateway to Yosemite National Park. Over the decades, I've walked nearly every mile of the right of way plus the inclines and logging railroads in the vicinity. Today, you can still find most all of the right of way and see much of it while driving the highway alongside the Merced River on your way to Yosemite. for more like this. A wonderful addition to your railroadiana collection. Great reference/memorabilia for the modeler too. LIQUIDATING MY BOOK AND RAILROADIANA COLLECTION I'm back. After a short break I am once again continuing to liquidate my 1,000+ piece HO, book and railroadiana collection that I have accumulated over the last 40 or so years. My main interests were narrow gauge, short line, logging railroads and geared locomotives operating in California's Sierra Nevada mountains and Redwood forests of the Pacific coast. I was very careful to only collect the very best new or as-new items for my collection. I have enjoyed owning them and hope you do too. . PAYMENT & SHIPPING I really prefer Paypal (please pay within 48 hours), but money orders, cashier's checks and personal checks are all fine. Payment must be sent so that it arrives no more than 7 days from the end of the auction. I will combine shipping costs if you win more than one item. About Shipping Time - Just want to make sure that you know that my policy is to normally ship within 5 working days. Often, I can be faster than this, but I have to give myself a bit of leeway. I normally ship in the latter part of each week. Please note that First Class, Priority Mail and Parcel Post are fairly fast and your things are generally handled better so, if you value your goods, please choose this shipping. In some cases, Media Mail is available and it is quite a bit cheaper, but it can be VERY slow and things are sometimes not handled so well. I've seen Media Mail take several weeks to reach its destination. If you do choose Media Mail, please be prepared to be patient. Note also that tracking through USPS seems to be very poor lately - often times tracking is not updated past the point w I purchased shipping, until the item has been delivered. Even though the USPS tracking may say something like "we were notified by the shipper...." I have, indeed, shipped it on the day the shipping was purchased for so don't think that if it says this, it is not on its way, it is. So... bottom line - once it's in the hands of the post office it will take the time it takes - no way around it. In two years I have not had an item go missing forever though I have had a few go missing for quite awhile. If you need your item by a specific date or time period, contact me first and we will work it out. Zero Handling Charges - Note too that I do not charge anything over and above what USPS charges me to ship your item. In the case of Priority Mail, the boxes are provided free. In other cases, I make the best use of reused and recycled packing materials as possible to pack your shipment - another reason why I, at times, need the 5 working days leeway mentioned above.
