Yowza!!!! Highly Collectible Bell Solid Copper Cuff Most AMAZING!!!! we go again another amazing Bell piece. It weighs 3.8 oz and I have never seen one designed like this before. It is 2 3/8 " high and that is turquoise stones sprinkled like the firmaments on the front. It is about 5 1/4" around with a 1 1/4" gap. Make me an tantalizing offer and I will "End It NOW"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Saul Bell founded the company more than 56 years ago. As a young man, Saul Bell dabbled in a number of occupations during the ebb and flow of war, the Great Depression, the Crash of '29, and yet another world war. It was during one of his stints in construction that he happened to pass through New Mexico on his way to California, marveling at the vast quantities of silver jewelry available at stops throughout the southwest. It didn't take this young entrepreneur long to realize that the skills he learned as a jewelry apprentice under his uncle, and the experience he gained during the '20s when he had his own jewelry business, could be a valuable commodity in a place like New Mexico. So, with a lot of ambition and not much else, he gatd up his new bride, Olive, and moved to Albuquerque. Within a few years, Saul's vision paid off, and in 1944 he was able to buy the old White Eagle Trading Post on historic Route 66 in Albuquerque when the owner passed away. These were war times, and silver was scarce, but Saul managed to keep his doors open to allow the silversmiths to continue their work. He extended credit to craftsmen who wouldn't otherwise have been able to continue working during such hard times, and so gained the reputation of being not just a fair and honorable businessman but a friend as well. His strong belief in people, coupled with a desire to share his knowledge of jewelry-making, continued when he moved his operation to a bigger location in 1947. Now to give you some background on myself. I originally sold Native American jewelry in California in the seventies. Then I went off and got myself in the entertainment business which I still do for my living. (go to seller: xpalmmiami to buy cds!!!) At any rate somehow I found myself living in Miami Beach and I started a Vintage Native American booth which I did like every other weekend. Unfortunately between getting pneumonia and moving to the Northeast this whole thing went by the wayside. I have just started getting interested in selling again after 5 years. A lot of my things are older pieces but I have new ones too and will indicate which is which, so please read very carefully! I am leaving the original patina on this jewelry as I love the fine patina of time and will leave it up to the new owners to decide how they prefer to have their pieces. These artisans did not start signing or marking t works until around the sixties or so. I HAVE DECIDED TO NOT OFFER RETURNS ON ITEMS $50.00 OR UNDER AS A TIME MANAGEMENT ISSUE, SO I DO APOLOGIZE. PLEASE REMEMBER VINTAGE PIECES USUALLY HAVE BEEN WORN, SO THINGS LIKE RINGS MAY BE SLIGHTLY MISSHAPEN OVER TIME TO FIT THE WEARERS FINGER, BUT I ALWAYS TRY THEM ON FIRST TO SEE IF THEY ARE WEARABLE. ALSO I AM LEAVING THE ORIGINAL PATINA ON THEM, IT WILL BE UP TO YOU TO DETERMINE IF YOU WANT TO POLISH THE AGE OFF THEM OR NOT. BOLOS AND BELT BUCKLES USUALLY HAVE "BACKSIDE WORKING" IN OTHER THAN STERLING . Also it is not a good idea to w inlays in water situations like washing dishes etc...take that ring (or whatever off, off , off!!!!) I also want to tell you I am in the middle of starting up my website which is . It is just in its infancy. Finally being a packrat I have a lot of other things I will be putting up as well including stereo equipment, "real" gold and platinum record awards, Mexicana (especially linens), antiques, collectibles etc...so keep and eye our or just plain ask me if I have something I will put it up on ebay!!!!
