At auction is a Zenit C vintage 35 mm camera from the Krasnogorsk Mekanicheski Zavod (Krasnogorsk Mechanical Factory) in the Moscow suburb from which it gets its name. Made from 1955 to 1961 it is similar to its predecessor the Zenit, but with a synchronized shutter. It sports a Industar 50 mm f3.5 lens, which mounts on a screw thread Leica, but I don't know how well it performs with Leica cameras. The lens alone sells for $30 to$50. The scale focus goes from .65 m to infinity. The shutter speeds can be set from 30 to 500 plus B. I appears to need film in order for the shutter to cock. It is in good cosmetic condition with only minor rub marks on the base plate. The leather covering is complete. the bright metal is in good condition. It is a nice collectors item.
