ZILDJIAN 1960 ADVIS 20”SIZZLE CYMBAL RARE 1814 gr MINT CONDITION I am the original owner of this cymbal. I purchased it October 1960 it has 3 dashes and letters are in small stamp. This cymbal is rare because of it's gr weight the average 20” cymbal from the 50's and 60's weighted between 2268 and 2722 gr weight. Converted to regular weight these cymbals would weigh 5 to 6 lbs. My cymbal is 4 lbs which equals 1814 gr weight. The advantage of this cymbal weight makes for a better crash ride then the 5 or 6 lbs. This cymbal has great stick definition over a nice soft mellow wash and is perfect for Jazz, Funk, Latin and Fusion. Being a Jazz drummer this was strictly used for Jazz and Latin. Ten years ago I turned this into a sizzle cymbal. I had it professionally drilled and had 3 Zildjian rivets put in an 1 ½ “ from the edge and 1” apart from one another. The same exact way that the Zildjian Left Side Ride is made. Five years ago I purchased Bosphorus cymbals to replace all my Zildjian's except for this one which was my favorite. I just purchased another 20” Bosphorus and had it professionally drilled with three rivets just like the one I'm selling and that's why the Zildjian is for sale. The condition of this cymbal is Mint.
