Dark red Zincite with black Franklinite and some orange "Calcozincite" (a mixture of Zincite, Tremolite and Sussexite) in light colored Calcite. SW UV illumination reveals green fluorescing Willemite, some is briefly phosphorescent (the best response in in the Calcozincite area), the Calcite fluoresces orange-red (dark magenta under LW), and you may be able to notice the weak dark blue Hydrozincite fluorescence.From Sterling Hill , Ogdensburg, Franklin Mining District, Sussex County, New Jersey Measures approximately 3 ¼ in x 1¾ in x 2 in and weighs 11.19 oz ( 82 mm x 44 mm x 51 mm, 317.15 g) To show the fluorescent response the specimen was illuminated using 6 watt 254nm(SW)/366nm(LW) UVGL-58 lamp (you need a UV light source to observe the fluorescence).
