ZIPPO LIGHTER- KOREA 506 th HELICOPTER Co-US ARMY LT COL. Presented to my uncle upon leaving in 1959 to become part of the executive flight detachment presidential chopper pilot. Appears to be in good used working condition, just needs a new flint. From the estate of the late, highly decorated, US Army Lt Col, James Maschmann. He began his career as an officer in WW-2, over seas, as a recon pilot with the famed Blue Devils. He was shot down in Korea and survived, w he was trained to fly helicopters. He finished his career, back in Washington, as a chopper pilot with the US Army Executive Flight Detachment, flying the different presidents, Eisenhower, Kennedy and Johnson, until he retired in 1965.
