You are bidding on a NIB (new in box) Zippo lighter that was presented to the then Chairman of The Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Lyman Lemnitzer by the secretary of Defense, Robert S. McNemara c.1961. It was recently purchased from the estate of the late General's family. It was carefully put away in 1961 until recently. What you see is exactly what you will receive if you win this auction. It is being offered as described and as pictured. Please study the pictures very carefully before bidding and ask questions if you are unsure of anything. Please disregard the fine print below as it pertains to my watch auctions. (J) I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story. As additional visual descriptions, they take precedence over any and all of the written descriptions. They are very clear and should leave no doubt as to the condition of this watch. In most cases you are the expert also, so please judge these pictures for yourself. I have tried to describe this watch as accurately as possible and if I have omitted anything, it was purely unintentional. I do guarantee the description of the watch however; due to the age of the watch (in some cases more than 100 years old) it is being sold "As Is". I strongly suggest that all shipments be insured, especially the more expensive watches because I cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss done by The Post office or any other shipper. I ship all watches within the continental USA by Priority Mail, which adds $6.00 plus insurance fees to the price of the watch. I will also ship "overnight" for an additional fee.
