This compact depicts a map of the US Occupied Zone of Germany. It has a vibrant green background with the gold tone map. It has little red painted dots that are made to look like little rubies to mark special towns within the zone. The exterior is in excellent condition and mint in the box. It has a lovely scrolled gold tone edge and it is made in a heavy detail quality that one would find in a jewelry shop purchase. When you pull back the latch of the compact and open the inside there is 2 little dark spots on the latch cover of the powder compact; it does not take away from the beauty of this item. It does have a plain powder puff and sifter with loose powder. It measures slightly less than 4 inches round. The item comes from a privatecollection of a collector who collected vanity relateditems. She collected compacts, lipsticks, powder puffs, lipstick hankies, vanity related valentines, postcards, greeting cards and vanity related figurines and vanity related Christmas ornaments.
