This is a lot of items about the ZRS AKRON airship. A great collection of items. Including a signed cover by Charles Rosendahl Scott UC1 - Commander, (and later Vice Admiral) of the Shenandoah, Los Angeles and Akron Airships. The Akron crashed on September 2, 1925. The Rosendahl cover is on a Scott UC1 5 cent envelope. There is cover from Lakehurst May 6, 1932 C16 or C12. Tactical Training Flight 1932. Perhaps most rare- Original USS Akron stationary page, as well as a page stamped in memoriam - "To the lives We Lost Memorial Day 1933". This I show in higher contrast just to make it more legible, but you can see it in the larger group photo. It is a rather pale and understated print. All really moving and beautiful. I have taken various photos and scans of the pieces. I am no authority on these things, as these all came from my grandfather's collection. He was a big collector of stamps, covers, correspondence, and Christmas Seals. Please see photos, and ask me for any more information that you may want. Thanks.
