This beautiful bear fetish was made from lapis lazuli by Zuni carver Alonzo Esalio . Alonzo is a member of the Othole family of carvers and a cousin of the late Jeff Tsalabutie. The bear is the guardian fetish of the West. He represents strength and self-knowledge. He is a spiritual guide and carries within him supernatural powers. The bear is a powerful healing fetish. This bear carved from a beautiful piece of lapis lazuli has a coral and turquoise bundle on its back. This unique bear, with inlaid turquoise eyes, measures 2.2" long, 0.9" tall, and 1.1" deep .
