1936 WINTER OLYMPICS 115 GERMAN CIGARETTE CARDSPublished in Germany byCigaretten-Bilderdienst in Altona, near Hamburg, Germany in 1936. The 115 cards (all shown) depict the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. Often found pasted into the album with the blue linen cover--but these were never pasted! 101 of them measure 3 x 5 inches, whereas 14 of them are even larger at 5 x 7 inches! They are in good used condition (marginal curling, abrasions, some bumped corners, very few with tiny tears and/or creases; please look at my photos). The winter Olympic cards were also intended to promote the upcoming summer Olympics in 1936 Berlin, so don't be surprised to find summer Olympic disciplines among them (see my photo # 12). Rest assured, they do belong in this lot. Check out my other cards! I will also ship to Canada!
