This is an extremely interesting model in metal made in the 1930s, which I believe may be a'missing link' between the German maker Wiking and the UK maker Tremo. The maker of Tremo is known to have have worked with/for Wiking before coming to the UK to set up Tremo, or Treforest mouldings and I think this may be an extremely rare example of his 'pirating' from a Wiking casting. The model is one of the K class German cruisers of the 1930s and has all the tell tale design features of a Tremo model but does not have the tremo trademark beneath it. The models only marks underneath are KZ and you can just make out the letters 'ade in Ger' but the rest has been deliberately taken off, the turrets and masts look like Tremo, as does the paint scheme and colour and the raised portholes also look like a Tremo model. An interesting piece of waterline model history. The model is in very good condition and complete with all its gun barrels and masts intact. The paintwork is stll bright and original but the paint is 'rubbed' a little along the raised portholes An extremely rare chance to obtain a model of this vintage in this condition .
