STUNNING! ~16" Diameter GLASS ART BOWL, Aqua Blue & Silver Peacock Design~ ~ NEW Exquisite HAND MADE & PAINTED BY TURKISH ARTIST, Topkapi Collection~ The color is primarily an aqua blue, and depending on the light is turns a little more blue or green. The pattern is a Peacock Plum. There are beautiful hand painted inlays, with silver subtlety highlighting each plum. The silver and the glaze over bowl tend to pick up the colors around it, to help blend. The painting technique is layering. First they start with a hand blown glass bowl with plum pattern, than each plum is hand painted and outlined. Once paint is dried, it is sealed, then painted with a protective silver paint on the back. The front is sealed with a slightly pearlized glaze. The technique is very tedious and time consuming.
