Offered for your consideration is this neat seth thomas flattop mantle type clock. #16 is just how it's tagged for description for inventory. It has nothing to do with the clock. tagged with the desc of 'shelf kitchen timepiece, 8 day time and strike, with wound spring gong. lyre-driven pendulum movement counts the hour, strikes once each half hour. estimated 1800 era. approx 14 1/4 x 9 x 3 3/4. five inch white dial with hand painted black roman numberals january 1898 antique index 295.00'. The number has nothing to do with the clock but is for inventory. That's what the inventory tag said. I wound it and it runs good. has a primitive key. T is a wire hang and when you lift it the chimes go off so I don't know what that is. The veneer along the bottom edge is flaked. It ran good, but i can't guarentee accuracy on these old glasses so all sold as is. check out my other auctions as I have more of this lifetime collection that i purchased and i'm putting on.
