1634 Tassin Map - 'Gouvernement de Evreux' Nicolas Tassin created beautiful maps in the early 1600's but his is not a name familiar to many collectors. The reasons are two-fold; the maps are quite uncommon and he concentrated his work in France, Spain, Belgium and Holland. This map comes from 'Les Plans et profiles....de France' published by Melchior Tavernier in Paris in 1634. This lovely map of Evreux (Normandie) and the surrounding villages, has nice detail to woods, a scale of distance and a compass. The map measures 6" by 4", has later outline hand colouring, and is in good condition. We have included a scan of the title page for reference (not for sale). The map is guaranteed to be over 360 years old. Shipping to the United States is $4.50US for regular airmail. Registered/insured airmail (optional) is an additional $9.00, for a total of US$13.50.
