RARE & MINT Condition 16 th Irish Division Irish National Volunteers Do Cum Glóire Dé Agus Onóra Na hÉireann World War 1 1914 - 1918 Commemorative Metal and Enamel Badge / Pin Superb Military, Irish, WW1, Political, Commemorative, Collectable Pin / Badge The Badge MINT Condition – Still in original packaging This badge is circular and measures approximately 2.5cm in diameter and is made from a Gold coloured metal with a butterfly type clasp on the reverse. The badge is in MINT condition and still in it’s original packaging. 16 th Irish Division badges are rare. There are many hundreds of different badges commemorating the 36 th Ulster Division. Because of Ireland’s history and politics the 16 th Irish Division have been more or less forgotten and so are rarely commemorated. This is an excellent and well finished badge and difficult to obtain. The Badge shows a depiction of the “Guillemont” Celtic Cross in Gold colour against a White coloured background. On the cross is the legend - 16 th Irish Division 1914 – 1918 in Black coloured lettering and numerals. The cross also bears a Green coloured shamrock and two depictions of the Green coloured “Flag of Erin”.
